An Ami mask with long green hair, green eye shadow and elf ears, earning it the title of Forest Elf. The shell was originally used for another character, but we found a great opportunity to transform it into this elegant forest elf with soft purple eyes and a pleasing smile.
History
After making the Android mask, we worked to produce this mask as the second prototype whilst looking to fix many of the issues we found. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same difficult vision and hard-edged eyes that the Android does, as these were only discovered at the first photoshoot that we did for Gen 3, where this mask actually used a purple wig instead! At the Ami “Gen 3” Launch Photoshoot, the mask had purple hair and green eyes, Kurikan came to visit and was the model for us as well as providing valuable feedback on the mask and what it was like to use.
After this, we came up with a plan to reuse the mask for another character, being this forest elf. We changed the wigs to green and changed the eyes to purple using our latest iris design, but we also put a lot of effort into tying the hair up in a plait to make the character look more unique for the Forest Elf Shoot, as detailed in this blog post. In the end, we all had a lot of input into this mask, with Emily making the original character, Charlotte working to change them into this forest elf and Lillian helping to design the forest elf and eventually getting to model them!
