Delivery Information
How We Calculate Shipping
We have created different groups of products that we will ship together as 1 parcel, mostly due to different geographic locations that DAME operates from, when you order products from the same shipping group then they will share postage and save you money. To help you to know what products are in the same group we list the products on the 'shipping' tab on each product page.
When ordered the system will try to assign these products to parcels and then depending on where you are it will get the price for that area. Some groups may have multiple parcel sizes configured meaning instead of creating a new parcel it might instead make a larger parcel saving you money.
All items for a single parcel must be ready before we will ship it to you, but in the process you will get as few parcels as possible from us to save as much as possible. You also get to pick if you would like to insure your packages for transit, if so then the insurance fee is calculated per parcel that the system has built up, so this is the amount we will have to pay when taking out insurance on your behalf.
The Different Stages
We have broken up process into 3 defined stages to which we can define times for each stage, they are:
- Process/Production
- Packaging
- Delivery
1. Processing/Production Time
This is the time taken to process your order and will greatly vary depending on what you have ordered from no time at all to over a month. We try to give an estimate for each item on its product page, however times may vary depending on our current workload.
2. Packing Time
This is the time taken for us to get your order ready for delivery and booked in with the courier.
Please allow up to 5 working days for this. Typically for items with a longer production time we should be able to package them quicker.
3. Delivery Time
All deliveries are made through UPS, which through many experiences provide the best service at the best value.
All deliveries will come from the UK and should take between 1 - 5 working days.
