An Ami mask that we have nicknamed "Android" due to general theme of the character. This mask follows a mostly purple theme; very dark purple hair with a slanted straight-cut fringe, a lighter purple hair highlight, purple eyebrows, pink/purple eyes and a striking pink lip gloss to help to make the lips stand out more.

This mask comes with 2 sets of irises, both are the made with the same design, though one has white sclera while the other has black, allowing you to hide a darker side to the character behind the angled fringe.

History

This mask is the very first Ami Gen 3 that we made, as such it does have a few issues (see further bellow), though given that it was our first full prototype for our new mask range, we wanted to make a striking character that would draw people's attention! As a part of this, we worked on some new iris designs and used this mask to show them off for the first time. 

The mask was first used for the Ami “Gen 3” Launch Photoshoot, where it was modelled by Lillian. We ended up cutting things a little too close preparing the outfit, so we had to improvise a little to put together something similar that we felt still fit with the look that we were aiming for.

Only a few weeks later, the mask was then used for the Android & Doll Photoshoot as both the Android and the Doll. Halfway through the photoshoot, we swapped out the eyes, replaced the eyebrows and installed the Lilac/Rose Pink wig to transform the mask into the Doll character. This photoshoot was planned very short notice as Hikari, who modelled both characters, just happened to be planning a trip to drop off some stuff to us and we took the opportunity to dress them up.

Lastly, when we did the Retro Gamer Girl Photoshoot for Alice, we took the opportunity to do some more pictures with Lillian, this time with the original outfit that we had planned for this character. We have yet to release a proper gallery for these photos on our website, but you can find some of them on our social media pages.

Issues

As our very first "Gen 3" mask, it has got the following issues. All of these issues have been resolved before we produced our first customer mask.

• Eyes do not take our standard eye inserts, instead they need thinner inserts to fit into the mask, can be made on request
• Vision through the shell is not as good as we would like, you will need to ensure that your eyes align correctly to the vision ports above the eyes to best see
• The edge of the eyes are more "hard" than we would ideally have liked
• There is a small chip on one of the mounting points for the wig, does not impact the use of the mask or mounting wigs/accessories
